Without a network, family connections, or a prestigious background, doors stay closed no matter how much motivation or talent they bring. Sending out countless CVs often leads to silence, leaving them feeling invisible and discouraged. Too many brilliant young people never even get the chance to prove themselves.

Online career community

Meetern changes the game. By focusing on personality, motivation, and potential rather than paper, we open doors that were once closed. Every student, with or without a network, gets a fair chance to shine. Every company discovers untapped talent ready to make a real impact. More than a platform for internships and student jobs, Meetern is a community that democratises opportunities, creates authentic connections, and unlocks futures.

Our Story

2019

The spark: Networking events

As a student, Élise Cogels quickly realised that launching a career often depends more on connections than on potential. To break that barrier, she started organising informal meetups where students and companies could connect. No CVs, no suits, just people sharing ambitions and opportunities.
It was an instant success.

2023

The idea:
Going digital

Those first gatherings proved one thing: personality, energy and motivation matter more than paper. With her husband, Élise decided to take the concept further and make it accessible to every student, everywhere. That’s how the idea of Meetern was born: a platform where students showcase who they are, and companies reach out to convince them too.

2025

The platform:
Career community

After years of research and development, Meetern became more than just an idea it grew into a living community brought together on a digital platform. Today, students find internships and jobs based on who they are, not just what’s on their CV. Companies discover fresh, motivated talent. And together, they create stories of growth, connection, and success.

2022

How It All Started

We noticed it everywhere: internships were broken. Too much friction. Too little value. So we started small as an internship recruitment agency helping teams delegate better and helping students access real opportunities.Too often, internships are treated as a formality. As a result, students with real potential are overlooked, and teams miss out on fresh energy and long-term talent.

2023

We’re Live!

We launched our first MVP to test the idea. Students created profiles. Companies posted missions. And very quickly, we saw it: when both sides are visible and intentional, great things happen. So we kept going.

2024

We expand our impact

With our first fundraising round and the support of academic partners, we’re launching a new version of Meetern, built to scale, and built with care. A platform where quality matters more than quantity, where personality shows, and where time is respected.
